Damage to modules, a change of use of the site, e.g. after expiry of the contractual useful life of the solar park or renovations within the solar parks can also be reasons for dismantling solar panels. The disposal of solar panels is largely environmentally friendly and regulated by law.

The focus is increasingly on the circular economy in order to recover valuable raw materials and minimize environmental impact.
